Personnel Tracking & Shift Change Effectiveness

To improve operational efficiency around shift changes, we developed a set of dashboards for both underground and surface mining operations.
For underground teams, the Personnel Tracking dashboard measures travel and working times by analyzing personnel movement data. It identifies when workers enter and exit the portal or cage and determines true working locations—excluding non-productive areas such as break rooms and workshops. This helps quantify lost time and highlight opportunities to improve equipment utilisation.
On the surface, the First and Last Productive Activity dashboard tracks how long it takes for operators to log in and start their first productive activity after a shift begins, as well as the time between their last activity and the end of the shift. This helps supervisors identify delays, early finishes, and operational inefficiencies.
