Jean Marc serves as a Senior Software Engineer and the strategic lead of the Software and Data Engineering team at MTS. He is a seasoned professional who bridges the gap between high-level architectural design and practical, mining-ready implementation. His technical repertoire is extensive, encompassing a deep mastery of C#, .Net, Java, VB.net, and Python, alongside foundational expertise in VB6, JavaScript, and C++. This diverse toolkit allows him to navigate legacy systems while simultaneously pioneering modern, enterprise-level solutions that are both scalable and secure.

For the past six years, Jean Marc has dedicated his expertise to the global mining sector, focusing on the delivery of mission-critical software. His work is centered on three core pillars of modern mining: short-term planning, short-interval control, and asset health data analysis. By developing customised tools that address these specific challenges, he enables mining companies to transform raw data into actionable insights, ultimately driving operational efficiency and equipment longevity.

His tenure at MTS has seen him travel to mine sites across the globe, moving out of the office and into the heart of the operations he supports. This hands-on practical experience provides him with an invaluable perspective that most software engineers lack. As the lead of the software and data team, Jean Marc oversees the entire development lifecycle, with primary responsibility for the Haul Road Explorer program.
